Cheap Drugs

IT ISN'T OFTEN we get good news about health-care costs. But a new initiative by Wal-Mart Stores (WMT) is likely to save a lot of folks some money on their prescription drugs. Recently the retailing giant announced plans to expand its discount drug plan to 27 states. Under the program, Wal-Mart will charge consumers just $4 for more than 300 popular generic medications including amoxicillin and the antidepressant fluoxetine.
