Beware of phony COVID-19 vaccine websites, officials say

Fraudsters have decided to play on the lack of cohesive information on how and where to get vaccinated for COVID-19.
Desperate Americans have been going everywhere from Google and Facebook to their local drugstore or grocery stores to try to find out where and how they can get vaccinated. Consider these strategies to decrease the tax bill on your retirement account withdrawals. Click here for more.

For the Lawyers

Debt Collector’s failure to include warnings about partial payments does not violate Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. A Texas U.S. District court held that the language: "The law limits how long you can be sued on a debt. Because of the age of your debt, we will not sue you for it. If you do not pay the debt, we [CCI] may report or continue to report it to the credit reporting agencies as unpaid." does not violate the FDCPA simply because it does not include a statement in the letter warning that a partial payment could revive the timebarred debt. Christie v. Contract Callers, Inc., Civil Action No. 4:20-cv-00518-P, 2021 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 33088, at *11 (N.D. Tex. Feb. 23, 2021) Click here for more.
