When shopping for the best price, compare the store, the internet, and the 800 number for the best price. You can never know who will offer you the best deal. I just went through this with my cell phone and was surprised that the 800 number gave cheaper prices than the internet.  


For Many, Next Year's Raise Could be a Stinker

Employees can expect raises next year that are only slightly better than years past, and much of the gains will be eaten up by inflation. Employers plan to grant average pay raises of 3.7% in 2006, just up from the 3.6% average in 2005, according to a study by benefits consultants Mercer Human Resource Consulting. I.R.S. Enlists Help in Collecting Delinquent Taxes

If you owe back taxes to the federal government, the next call asking you to pay may come not from an Internal Revenue Service officer, but from a private debt collector. Within two weeks, the I.R.S. will turn over data on 12,500 taxpayers, each of whom owes $25,000 or less in back taxes, to three collection agencies.
