Class action certified in travelers suit based on a cruise that turned into a bus ride. A Massachusetts federal judge said they could sue the cruise company as a class. The customers were promised multiday boat tours of "Majestic Rivers of Europe," and they collectively paid more than $1.1 million for them, court records show. But the ship had mechanical issues partway through the journey, leading Vantage to continue the customers' tours by bus, the travelers say. The judge noted, "170 people, primarily senior citizens, signed up for a boat tour and what they got instead was a bus ride." Hebert et al. v. Vantage Travel Service Inc. Click here for more.
