New jersey legalizes sports gambling. Just 28 days after the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Murphy v. NCAA, which struck down as unconstitutional a federal statute that banned states from authorizing sports gambling, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed a bill that authorizes New Jersey's casinos and racetracks to offer wagering on the results of sporting events. Other states are expected to follow New Jersey’s lead in the coming weeks and months. Click here for more.
