Wells Fargos tries to avoid fake account lawsuitIn response to the Wells Fargo scandal over fake accounts, customers have filed a class action lawsuit against the bank for unauthorized accounts that employees opened in their names. On Wednesday, the bank asked the court where the case is filed to dismiss the suit and force customers to settle their claims through arbitration. Wells Fargo and other financial companies have frequently used this tactic to stop class action lawsuits. The agreements customers sign contain fine print requiring them to enter arbitration. These forced arbitration clauses are controversial because it helps hide misbehavior by companies in private mediation rather than opening it up to scrutiny in public court documents. Click here for more. Your MoneyIf you avoided the stores today for Black Friday don't fret, there will still be deals available this weekend and into December. Benjamin Glaser, an editor at DealNews, suggests shopping in the apparel category specifically on Cyber Monday. "Cyber Monday actually leads Black Friday and Thanksgiving in [the apparel] category," said Glaser. "Look for over 50 percent off at your favorite stores and brands."
