Uber and Lyft Rivals Flock to Austin

Last month Austin passed new fingerprint requirements for all Lyft and Uber drivers, which led the companies to shut down business in the city. Your Money

Buying a new home is exciting, but can be a rigorous and stressful task. You’ll be in a better position to make great choices if you first check your credit, assess your finances, set your home-price budget, and decide for yourself whether it’s the right time to buy. You can start the process by checking your credit report for free at www.annualcreditreport.com. Checking your credit score won't hurt your score, because the request is processed differently than when a lender checks your credit. Click here for more.

Delegation clause in arbitration agreement unenforceable. The Supreme Court of New Jersey refused to enforce the delegation clause in a for-profit college’s enrollment agreement in a 5-1 opinion. Although the delegation clause had never been specifically challenged by the plaintiffs, as is required by the Supreme Court’s decision in Rent-A-Center in order to avoid delegating the issue of arbitrability to the arbitrator, the court found that was immaterial. Morgan v. Sanford Brown Institute, 2016 WL 3248016 (N.J. June 14, 2016). Click here for more.
