Teens Most Drawn to E-Cigarettes by Online Ads

While many forms of e-cigarette advertising increase the odds that teens will try the device, a new U.S. study suggests that this generation of digital natives is most enticed by promotions they see online. The study also suggests that adolescents who try e-cigarettes may be more than twice as likely to move on to smoking conventional cigarettes than teens who have never tried the devices. Behavioral scientist William Shadel says, "It’s possible, then, that exposure to e-cigarette ads promote thoughts that use is more prevalent and that using the product will result in positive outcomes.”  Click here for more.

Defendant not liable for faxes sent outside of agreed-upon range. The Seventh Circuit held that a Telephone Consumer Protection Act defendant was not liable in a case involving notorious marketing company Business to Business Solutions (B2B).
