Patient's claims against manufacturer of angioplasty catheter were preempted by Medical device Amendments for Food and Drug Act. The 2nd circuit has held that claims for negligence, breach of warranty and strict liability were all pre-empted to the extent they alleged liability despite manufacturer's adherence to standards requires by the FDA.
