Many people believe that there is a "3 day right to cancel" any contract. In fact, very few contracts have such a provision. While Texas law requires door-to-door sales contracts to have such a cancellation provision, most people are surprised to find that many major purchase contracts, such as for cars, have no such provision. New Study Finds Low Fat Diet Best for Weight Loss

The diet fads of recent times tell us to avoid carbohydrates. This has more people eating protein and fats while avoiding grains, but are they losing weight? A new study indicates that a low fat diet may be best for losing weight. The link below has a good discussion of diet fads through the ages which should make us skeptical of any "amazing" new diet and related weight loss claims. The best science tells us that to lose weight we need to eat in moderation, get some exercise, and that we are better off eating natural foods and staying away from processed foods.  Click here for more.

With relatively low interest rates on savings, and turmoil in the markets, the best way to "save" money may be to pay down debt which carries higher interest rates than you can make in the markets. Millennials seem to get this, and a recent survey indicates that two thirds of Millennials have made paying down their debt their top financial priority. Click here for more.

The 26 pose sequence used in the Bikram Yoga 90 minute hot yoga program is not subject to copyright. The Ninth Circuit declined to grant Bikram Yoga copyright protection for the sequence holding that the sequence does not constitute "choreography" because the bodily movement is part of a process designed to improve health, and not a dance. The court noted that because the sequence is the idea, rather than the expression of that idea, copyright protection did not apply. Click here for more.
