Apple Pulls Infected Apps from App Store

In the first major breach of Apple's App Store, Apple has pulled 39 apps from it's App Store which were found to have malware. While the Apple Store is known to carefully review apps for security problems before allowing them to be included in the App Store, it appears that Chinese app developers downloaded a sham version of Apple's Xcode which is used to build the apps, and that only Chinese apps built with the bad code are affected. Click here for more.

Attorneys fees of $350/hour for experienced counsel is appropriate for Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) cases. The Second Circuit considered the issue of appropriate attorney's fees sufficient to induce capable attorneys to undertake representation in FLSA cases, and found that the district court’s analysis was correct in concluding that fees below the $500-600/per hour rate sought by plaintiff’s counsel were reasonable in the Eastern District of New York.
