Citizen's Bank Agrees to Pay $35 Million for Failing to Credit Customer Deposits

Citizen's Bank settled claims brought by the Comptroller of the Currency, the FDIC, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau that it had failed to properly credit consumer's bank accounts when there was a discrepancy between the amount listed on the deposit slip and the actual amount deposited. Citizens bank has agreed to pay $35 Million in penalties and to reimburse customers who were not properly credited for their deposits. Click here for more.
