Many people think their “credit limit” is the maximum amount the credit company will allow them to charge. In fact, in most cases the company will allow you to exceed this limit, and then charge you a hefty fee. You must self-police your credit limit and not exceed it. TurboTax Sued for Poor Sercurity

Attorneys in California have filed a potential class-action suit against TurboTax for poor security procedures that have allowed identity thieves to use the popular tax filing software to file fraudulent returns on behalf of consumers. Advertisements are not immune from Lanham Act scrutiny simply because their claims are open to scientific or public debate. The Fifth Circuit noted that although the First Amendment ensures a robust discourse in the pages of academic journals, it does not immunize false or misleading commercial claims from Lanham Act liability.
