Dish Contract Negotiations Go South

Last month, a dispute with Turner Broadcasting led Dish Network to drop CNN, TBS, and several other channels from its programming lineup. Now, Dish Network's 14 million subscribers could lose CBS programming too.



On Thursday, CBS and Dish Network narrowly avoided a blackout with a last-minute short-term extension. However, a dispute over carriage fees could spell the end of shows like "The Big Bang Theory" in homes using the popular dish provider.

Graco Recalls 4.7 Million Strollers After Babies Lose Fingers

Graco Children's Products has ordered a recall of 4.7 million strollers after several babies lost or lacerated their fingers on a folding hinge.



The affected strollers were sold at large retailers like Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, and Amazon. The recall includes 11 Graco and Century-brand strollers make from August 2000 to September 2014.

Change Your Default Passwords Now

As we continue to advance into a "Smart" generation, it's especially important to protect yourself against hackers.



Many Smart TV's, appliances, network cameras, and routers are sent to consumers with generic default login credentials. Usually something like Login: admin and Password: password, hackers can use this information to access
many Internet-connected devices in your own home. Do you have a nanny cam? A wireless router? A new smoke detector? If so, it's very important that you change your passwords now. One hacker website is already hosting live nanny cam footage from nearly 4,500 U.S. based streams.

Mandatory water and sewer charges do not involve a debt under Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

The Second Circuit held that sewer and water charges were similar to municipal taxes levied automatically in connection with ownership of property, and are not a debt for purposes of the FDCPA.
