GM May Face Stop Driving Order

A federal judge in Texas is considering a "stop driving order" that would park 2.6 million General Motors vehicles affected by defective ignition switches. The judge is currently considering briefs from both sides and is expected to make a ruling in the coming days. If granted, the order could be potentially devastating to GM, which has already recalled nearly seven million vehicles this far this year.

Wi-Fi Speeds Set to Triple

Using current technology, Wi-Fi networks can only serve one device at a time. When multiple users are on the same network, they take turns running tasks through the router. It happens so quickly that delays may not be noticeable. However, when a Wi-Fi network serves a large group of users, the devices Internet connections may slow dramatically.



New technology out of Qualcomm could change the way we use Wi-Fi. After years of research, the company developed a method that allows multiple groups of users to function simultaneously, potentially tripling speed.



Wi-Fi simultaneous, multiple user technology is expected to hit the market early next year.

Right of rescission expires in three years.

The Sixth Circuit noted that the right of rescission under Truth in Lending expires three years after the date of the consummation of the transaction.

The court held this means a lawsuit must be filed within that time period, regardless of whether the creditor was notified of the rescission.
