FDA Targets Teens in New Smoking Ads

The Food and Drug Administration has announced a new anti-smoking campaign geared toward teens. However, instead of focusing on health risks like cancer, the campaign focuses on more superficial consequences, like yellow teeth and wrinkles. The point of the campaign is to focus on appearance, because the FDA believes that is what's important to teens right now.



The $115 million multimedia education campaign targets teens between the ages of 12 and 17.

RadioShack to Close 500 Stores

RadioShack made waves over the weekend with a critically acclaimed Super Bowl ad. In the commercial, 80's icons, like Hulk Hogan, are depicted demolishing the store.



It appears the ad was foreshadowing something big. On Tuesday, information leaked that RadioShack planned to close 500 of its 4500 stores around the nation.



RadioShack hopes to revamp and repackage its stores, offering something more relevant and competitive with online alternatives.
