Writing a post-dated check is a good idea when you don't have the money in the bank but will soon, right? Wrong! As a general rule a post-dated check may be paid by your bank at anytime. My advice: do not write a post-dated check if you don't have the money in the bank.

FAA Approves Use of Electronics

Electronic devices keep us entertained and connected. That's especially true when traveling. According to a survey conducted by the Airline Passenger Experience Association, 99% of adult passengers travel with an electronic device.




The problem? Airlines have long required passengers to turn off electronics during takeoff and landing. The requirement can interrupt valuable work time, or simply prevent a passenger from distracting herself during the most stressful part of a flight.



Last week, the Federal Aviation Administration moved to allow uninterrupted usage of electronic devices on aircraft. The decision came after a series of tests found that the use of electronic devices posed no real threat to aircraft communications.

Facebook Losing Younger Users

Facebook is losing one of its largest user groups at an alarming rate. Recent research has found that social networking teens are moving away from Facebook and toward alternatives like Twitter. Although Facebook initially denied the trend, company officials have since acknowledged the situation.



Although Facebook boasts more than 1 billion users worldwide, teens represent an important segment for advertising and future growth.

Unconscionability remains a viable defense to enforcement of an arbitration clause.

For the first time, the California Supreme Court considered the impact of both AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion and American Express v. Italian Colors. The court held that unconscionability -- focused on whether a contract is unfairly one-sided -- remains a viable defense to individual arbitration agreements in California.
