NRA & ACLU Make Unlikely Allies

In an unlikely union, the National Rifle Association and the American Civil Liberties Union plan to press Congress to block the National Security Agency's collection of phone records.



According to the NRA, the NSA's controversial program can be used as a "backdoor" method to create a national gun registry list. Among other things, the ACLU insists that the program is an unconstitutional breach of privacy.



With the backing of the politically powerful NRA, the ACLU may have greater success lobbying against the surveillance program.

United Accidentally Sells Free Flights

For a limited time on Thursday, consumers visiting the United Airlines website were able to purchase certain tickets for free. Only available for about fifteen minutes before the system was shutdown, many consumers quickly flocked to the site to take advantage of the incredible deal.



Although a mistake resulting from a computer glitch, United Airlines announced on Friday that it will honor the tickets.



This isn't the first time consumers have been able to take advantage of an airline price mistake. In fact, numerous websites track potential glitches and inform followers within moments of noticing the error.

Hackers Access Vodafone Database

According to Vodafone, a hacker accessed the company database, snagging personal and bank information for two million Vodafone consumers.

Failure to renew credit card is not a “significant change” in terms.

The Third Circuit held that a credit card company’s decision to not renew a credit card was not a significant change within the scope of the Credit CARD Act or Regulation Z, and, therefore, cardholder was not entitled to 45-days notice.
