Buy from a reputable businesses or someone you know, and use a credit card to protect yourself in case you get scammed.

Flights Could Get Bumpier Over Time

According to a group of British scientists, air travel will get bumpier by 2050. The study indicates an increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide will lead to more turbulent skies, longer travel times, and higher fuel costs.

Toyota, Nissan, and Honda Airbag Recall

If you own a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda, your vehicle may have a faulty airbag. On Thursday, the three giant automotive companies issued a recall spanning multiple makes, models, and years. In total, the three companies have issued a recall for 3.4 million vehicles. Toyota is recalling the largest chunk of affected vehicles (1.7 million cars around the world). Although the recall mostly spans vehicles from 2001 to 2003, several newer vehicles are included as well.

Senate Begins Gun Control Debate

By a count of 68-31, the United States Senate voted to begin debate on a bill that would expand background checks for gun sales. Although legislators cleared the first major hurdle for expanded gun control, the road to congressional approval remains unclear.

Toyota can't compel arbitration of anti-lock brake system claims. The Ninth Circuit affirmed a district court decision that Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., a nonsignatory to several agreements with arbitration provisions, could not compel plaintiffs to arbitrate.
