Texas AG Charges Austin Group with Providing Unauthorized Legal ServicesTexas Attorney General Greg Abbott has filed an enforcement action against Austin, Texas based Just for People for offering unlawful immigration services. According to the complaint, Just for People was threatening clients and charging them for services that were never performed. As part of the action, the AG was granted a temporary restraining order and asset freeze, effectively closing the business. According to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, there are currently a number of companies that offer help with loan modification for large amounts of upfront money.
