NSA Wants to Hire Hackers

Gen. Keith Alexander, head of the National Security Agency (NSA), stopped by DefCon in Las Vegas last week to recruit new talent. DefCon is one of the largest hacker conventions in the world. This year, Alexander addressed the crowd of 16,000 hoping to find the "talent our nation needs to secure cyberspace." Drug Co. Settles Overcharging Claims

The drug firm McKesson Corp. has agreed to pay $151 million in order to settle litigation brought by thirty states over overcharging claims. According to the lawsuit, McKesson inflated drug prices by 25 percent when reporting to First DataBank. First DataBank publishes pharmaceutical industry information and conducts drug pricing surveys used by drug insurers, including Medicaid, to set payment rates. In essence, McKesson is charged with manipulating drug prices to generate additional profits. The suit alleges that the practice cost state Medicaid programs millions. Samsung & Apple Heading to Court

Last year, Apple filed a lawsuit against Samsung alleging the company was infringing on Apple's intellectual property by producing illegal knockoffs of its iPad and iPhone products. The two companies will begin trial in federal court today in a case that will be watched closely around the world. Interestingly enough, Apple remains business partners with Samsung for the production of key components used in Apple devices. Apple is seeking $2.5 billion. Click here for more.
