Under the law, you have three days to change your mind whenever you sign a contract negotiated in your home by a salesperson. The best advice is don't talk to any salesperson who shows up at you door. But if you make a mistake and get talked into a bad deal, the law gives you three days to cancel. TSA Wants to Double Security FeesFrom the start, the Transportation Safety Administration has been funded by a passenger fee on airline tickets of $2.50 each way. If a plan coming out of a Senate committee is approved, the fee will jump to $5 ($10 for each round-trip flight). Although the fee is charged to the airline, it will certainly be passed on to the consumer. Consumers are already voicing criticism of the fee increase. Citing questionable effectiveness of the TSA, many don't want any more unnecessary fees added to already high air travel costs. How will the additional $5 round-trip help protect the public?
