Windows XP to Retire April 8, 2014

Do you still use Windows XP? The Microsoft operating system remains very popular among computer users. Despite its popularity, Microsoft plans to halt security updates for the XP operating system. Microsoft has notified Windows XP users that the operating system will retire on April 8, 2014, in hopes that users will use the time to make the switch to one of the newer Microsoft operating systems. Stubhub cannot be sued for ticket scalping. The North Carolina Court of Appeals has ruled that federal law immunizes StubHub from a state lawsuit alleging that the online ticket company engaged in unfair or deceptive trade practices by scalping tickets. Relying on the immunity provided by Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), the court noted, “there have been approximately 300 reported decisions addressing immunity claims advanced under 47 U.S.C. § 230 in the lower federal and state courts. All but a handful of these decisions find that the website is entitled to immunity from liability.” Click here for more.
