Antibiotic Abuse - More Deadly Bacteria

Why? The flood of antibiotics has mutated the once-easily-defeated bacteria into drug-resistant super germs. For patients infected by the drug-resistant bacteria, the mortality rate has risen to 50%. As antibiotics continue to lose their effectiveness, hospital procedures can turn from routine to deadly. Although there are some replacement treatments, most are toxic and very expensive. What does a world without antibiotics look like? Click here for more.
