Millions Receive Credit Card Settlement
Be careful next time you go through your mail! What might appear to be junk mail may actually be a check for $18. As part of the Currency Conversion Fee Antitrust Litigation case, more than 10 million checks valued at $18.04 are going out to credit card holders to settle claims over the improper setting and disclosure of foreign currency conversion fees. Consumers who filed claim forms and provided documentation may be entitled to more. The problem? Study: Memory Loss Can Start at 45
For years, many believed cognitive function didn't start to decline until a person was in his or her sixties. According to a study publishied in the British Medical Journal, men and women began showing signs of age-related cognitive decline in their forties. The study tracked over 5,000 men and over 2,000 women for ten years, regularly performing tests for memory, vocabulary, and auditory and visual learning. The resulted showed a decline in all areas, except for vocabulary, beginning at age 45. Although the results were modest, researchers and analysts now suggest it may take decades for dementia to develop.
