Consumers Surprised by New Debit Fees

Bank of America is facing a wave of criticism after becoming the first bank to charge consumers a monthly fee to use debit cards to make purchases. A new rule limits the amount banks can charge merchants in transaction fees, leaving banks looking to generate revenue in other ways. Although the Bank of America fee is only $5 a month, consumers have never had to pay for debit cards before and probably won't willingly accept any new fees anytime soon. What to Expect - Apple Press Conference

On Tuesday, Apple will hold a press conference to make some major announcements. According to numerous reports, Apple will announce two new iPhones (the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S) and some new services (including cloud computing).
