President Obama to Speed Oil Production
As prices at the pump continue to spiral out of control, President Obama is ordering his administration to increase U.S. oil production by extending leases off the coast of Alaska and in the Gulf of Mexico. Although the goal is to decrease American dependence on foreign oil in the long term, even the President agrees the move will do little to lower the $4 a gallon gas prices around the country in the short term.
