BBB Accused of Giving Higher Scores to Paying Members

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal is investigating the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for allegedly giving higher scores to companies that pay dues. In addition to questionable ratings practices, General Blumenthal has criticized the organization for inadequate business research and judging criteria, citing an overall lack of manpower to effectively investigate its member businesses. An ABC News investigation recently revealed a non-existent company called Hamas, named after the Middle Eastern terror group, was given an A minus rating after paying $425 to the Better Business Bureau. Click here for more.
