Students take note. Under a new law it is harder for college students to get a credit card. Consumers under age 21 who can't prove an independent means of income or provide the signature of a co-signer aged 21 or older will not be approved for a credit card. In addition, colleges are prohibited from offering students gifts as inducements to apply for credit. Internet Impostors Facing New Laws

At the most basic level, "e-personation" is the act of pretending to be someone you're not on the internet. As silly as it may sound, "e-personation" is running roughshod on the web, especially on sites like Twitter and Facebook. If Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signs a new law in California, web impostors may face a fine and jail time. The vague law could include out-of-state offenders. Texas Supreme Court discusses commercial reasonableness under Article 9. The court recognized that a secured creditor that seeks to recover a deficiency, however, must prove that it acted in a "commercially reasonable" manner in disposing of collateral. With one dissent, it held that the jury may determine commercial reasonableness by employing a standard other than that stated in the jury charge. Click here for more.
