If you purchased your phone before July 23, 2010, you can apply for a free case until August 22, 2010. If you purchased your iPhone after July 23, 2010, you have thirty days to apply for the program. In order to qualify, you must purchase an iPhone 4 before September 30, 2010. The case should resolve any reception issues associated with holding the phone in certain ways. Car Dealers Escape New Consumer LawThe Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, created by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, will not have jurisdiction over most car-dealer financing. The new law, signed July 21 by President Obama, does give the Federal Trade Commission new authority to enact rules to regulate dealer financing, despite the exclusion from CFPB jurisdiction.
