Unemployment Stalls Inflation

Two years ago, experts were in a panic over inflation. The Federal Reserve acted swiftly amid critics anticipating a collapse of the financial system. Today, inflation is virtually non-existent. Is that a good thing? The big factor keeping inflation low is record unemployment. As long as people aren't working, wages and consumption are reduced, effectively paralyzing inflation.
