Car Dealers Try to Avoid New Consumer Protection AgencyCar dealers are trying to avoid inclusion in new financial regulation despite large numbers of consumers subject to shady practices. After years of bait and switch financing, falsification of loan applications, failure to pay off liens, and other questionable business practices, consumer advocates are insisting car dealers be included within the new financial regulation legislation.
