Indoor Tanning Association Settles FTC ChargesThe FTC has settled charges with the Indoor Tanning Association after the association implemented a marketing campaign making a variety of false claims and denying the risk of skin cancer. According to the FTC report, the association asserted indoor tanning was approved by the government, it was safer than outdoor tanning, and that the benefits of indoor tanning "outweigh the hypothetical risk of skin cancer."
