If you are receiving emails that appear to be from Paypal a bank or a credit card company telling you about "a recent charge to your account," ignore them. Do not click on any link to verify your account or dispute the charge. If you want to check with your credit card company, the phone number is on your card. If you think the notice may be real, wait until you receive your credit card bill and then dispute it. These are scams designed to get your private information.  Click here for more.


Supreme Court Rules for Firefighters

In a controversial decision, the US Supreme Court voted 5-4 in favor of firefighters who were denied promotion after they outscored minorities in a firefighter promotion exam. likely to affect employers nationwide trying to ensure that hiring practices do not exclude certain segments of society. David Souter Leaves the Supreme Court

In 1990, President George H.W. Bush appointed David Souter to the United States Supreme Court. On Monday, Justice Souter retired from the bench. After joining the court as a conservative, many were surprised when Souter adopted moderate to liberal voting tendencies.
