US Sues UBS Over Secret Accounts

The U.S. Government sued Switzerland's largest bank, UBS, to force the company to disclose information regarding secret accounts previously withheld from the IRS. It is estimated that 52,000 U.S. citizens maintained accounts, totaling over $15 billion dollars. UBS has promised to release some information regarding the secret accounts. Deflation Warnings Ring Louder

Economists are preparing the new year-over-year analysis of the consumer price index ("CPI"), and the news isn't good. For the first time since 1955, the CPI dropped. At first glace, it might seen like a good thing. After all, consumers will be able to purchase goods at a cheaper price.
