Americans' Debt Falls

KB Toys to Shut Down

KB Toys, running over 400 stores, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company plans to immediately begin a "going out-of-business" sale, followed by closing all of it's doors. Google Debuts New Web Browser

This week, Google debuted it's new web browser - "Chrome." After a mere 100 days in the "beta" phase, Google has entered into direct competition with Microsoft's "Internet Explorer" and Mozilla's "FireFox." Trial court has no discretion and must compel arbitration. A Texas appellate court has held that once a party seeking to compel arbitration establishes that an agreement exists under the Federal Arbitration Act and that the claims raised are within the agreement's scope, the trial court has no discretion but to compel arbitration and stay its proceedings pending arbitration.
