Consumer can recover $500 per fax. A New Jersey Appellate Court has held that a person who received multiple unsolicited faxes from the same phone number but stating they were from different contractors may recover $500 in damages for each fax. The plaintiff was not required to prove any actual damage to recover the $500 penalty. Click here for more.
